Last night, young players showed their skills in the final day of the USA Basketball minicamp. The White team ended up with a decisive 128-106 win over the Blue team, due in part to the excellent play from Cleveland's Kyrie Irving. In a performance that will surely earn Irving consideration for the 2014 World Cup of Basketball, the 21 year old point guard led the way with 23 points and 7 assists. On the flip side, New Orleans' Anthony Davis powered the Blue team with 22 points and 7 rebounds.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski, who also coached Irving at Duke, spoke on his performance after the scrimmage: "It does feel good being at a press conference with Kyrie with me. 'I miss that. I'm going to start getting emotional here. I'm not going to do individual assessments of each player. We're watching everybody. I'm not going to be a school teacher and give one guy an 'A' and another guy a 'B.' Both these two guys (Irving and Davis) are exceptional talents and as talented as they both (are), they are so easy to coach and they're really good guys. I thought they probably performed the best. They'll be a big help to us.''

Although the Nike Hyperdunk 2013 has already landed, Irving chose to stick with what he knows best in the Hyperdunk 2012. Built with plenty of exposed Flywire for support, the Hyperdunk 2012 is cushioned with full-length Lunarlon. Protected by a durable Hyperfuse construction, the model was one of the most popular models on the hardwood last season, and it looks like it will remain a favorite amongst pros.
