For Spring 2014, adidas Outdoor will bring back one of its most successful hiking shoes in recent years, the Terrex Fast X GTX, as part of the brand’s SS14 collection previewed yesterday.
Intended as a technical, light hiker for trekking fast through the backcountry, the latest version of the Terrex Fast X GTX is now even lower to the ground for improved stability. While the design remains virtually the same, adidas will roll out a series of fresh colorways for the shoe. As for the innards, the Terrex Fast X GTX still features the same performance technology, including Adiprene+ in the forefoot and a Traxion outsole with Continental rubber for reliable grip in wet conditions. As noted by the shoe’s GTX status, it is draped with a Gore-TEX lining for all-weather protection
The Terrex Fast X GTX will retail at $165 (a significant increase from the current model). A mid-top version of the will shoe will be available for $185. Stay tuned for release information.
