Last Night the Yankees had a great win. Alfonso Soriano had an amazing game as he helped the Yanks with a tie breaking homer in the 8th inning. However, no matter how great that moment was it was completely over shadowed by Ichiro Suzuki’s 4,000 hits between the major leagues and Japan in first inning. A milestone hit, Suzuki was all smiles as he faced the cheering fans. “When my teammates came out to first base it was very special, and to see the fans," Suzuki said. "I wasn't expecting so much joy and happiness from them and that's what made it very special tonight." The ovation continued as he took his place in the right field at the beginning of the second inning.

Ichiro was playing in the Ichiro Suzuki x Asics 2013 “Ichiro.” This cleat is available in two two-toned colorways representing the team he plays for. The Ichiro line of cleats has entered its 18th year and is the lightest cleats do date. You will not be able to get these cleats anywhere as Asics don’t sell baseball cleats making Ichiro one of the only players in the MLB to wear Asics.

The Yanks are in good footing and looking to continue their streak. Stay tuned to Sneaker Report for more from the MLB.
