After sharing glimpses of its new “Back to Blue” short-sleeve alternate uniforms through various social media outlets over the course of the week, the Los Angeles Clippers unveiled today their powder blue uniforms to be worn for the team’s Sunday home games during the entirety of the 2013-14 NBA season.
Drawing inspiration from the team’s San Diego roots, the light blue uniforms pay homage to the Nautical culture of Southern California. Along with the short-sleeve tops, the look consists of light blue woven shorts that feature three iconic nautical flags that apparently spell out “L-A-C.”
The uniforms are part of adidas’ NBA Pride Uniform Collection, and are currently available for pre-order at Clippersstore.com. The uniforms will make their initial on-court debut on October 19 during the Clippers’ preseason game against Denver in Las Vegas.
