With last month's release of the updated Nike Flyknit Lunar 2, it was only right for the Swoosh to make some upgrades to its Nike Free Trainer 5.0 cross-training model. Designed to maximize versatility, the new Free Trainer 5.0 is equipped with hexagonal flex grooves on the outsole to increase agility and promote more natural movement. The shape of the heel also receives an update as its new anatomical design allows for greater control and a lockdown fit. In true cross-training fashion, the Free Trainer 5.0 can be used both indoors and outdoors. Basically, you can't use the weather anymore as an excuse to stop training. With all these changes, it's still the lightweight performance sneaker we've all come to love. The Nike Free Trainer 5.0 will be available on Nike.com and select retailers on April 3.
