Longtime basketball fans and OG sneakerheads have something to be excited about. Etonic and former Houston Rockets' great Hakeem Olajuwon have joined forces once again and are bringing back the Hall-of-Famer's Akeem the Dream signature shoe.

Part of Etonic's upcoming Lifestyle collection, the Akeem the Dream will be the first to hit retail this June and will be available at select retailers including Foot Patrol UK, atmos, Barney's NY and several others. Future releases will include models from Etonic's 1970s and 1980s catalog, specifically the Dream Hall of Fame, Street Fighter, and Trans Am Trainer with retail prices ranging from $75 to $120.

Having worked with Etonic, and being the brand's ambassador during his rookie year, Olajuwon's return involves more than just retro releases. Tabbed to work on the brand's new division, Brand Dream, Olajuwon will be working alongside Jordan Brand Footwear Design Director and Pensole Academy Founder D'Wayne Edwards on new technical basketball product with the first sneaker slated for a late 2015 release.
