Footpatrol and Fred Perry Go Dark With the "Rebel Tennis Club"

An official look at the Footpatrol x Fred Perry sneaker for the "Rebel Tennis Club" collection.

Footpatrol

Just in time for the start of next week's Wimbledon tournament, London retailer Footpatrol has teamed up with Fred Perry to offer a dark take on the brand's vintage tennis shoe—a style typically decked in all-white. As part of the 1934 Black Canvas Project, the "Rebel Tennis Club" is a nod to Fred Perry's (yes, he was a real person) Wimbledon championship from 1934.

The shoe is outfitted in a black suede upper with dark grey accents on the tongue and interior. There's also a vibrant yellow insole with a quote that reads "Not the best the greatest."

The Footpatrol x Fred Perry collab drops next Monday in-store and online. The online drop will be at the ungodly hour of 3 a.m. EST that Monday morning. Retail price is £80, or about $136.
