Breast Cancer Awareness month is a huge deal in the sporting world. Brands outfit players from every major sport with unique designs and gear done in pink as a tribute and dedication to fight Breast Cancer Awareness. Nike is always one to participate and help bring needed awareness to this disease. We've already seen the Swoosh debut the Hyperdunk 2014 for the all important month, and now Nike keeps it coming with this Kobe 9 EM "Kay Yow".

Named for the legendary NC State women’s basketball coach, Kay Yow, who lost her long fight with Breast Cancer back in 2009, the shoe pays homage to one of the greatest coaches not only in women's basketball, but in the sport as a whole. The shoe features an all pink base and is contrasted with a black midsole that features the Kay Yow “Y” logo at each heel. With the success of the Kobe 9 EM already, this could be one of the best shoes for Breast Cancer Awareness so far, which most importantly means it'll raise money for research.

Breast Cancer Awareness month starts in October so expect to see the Kobe 9 EM "Kay Yow" hit shelves right before then. Keep it locked for an official release date and help raise money for this all important cause.
