New Balance is taking premium to another level with its upcoming collaboration with one of the oldest tanneries in the U.S., Horween Leather.
The two have come together as part of the New Balance "Author's Collection" to bless the 998 runner with some of the finest leather probably known to man. And if you want premium, you have to pay premium, as the sneakers will retail for $400 each—quite the stretch for your typical normcore staple.
The collection, made right here in the good ol' USA, consists of a brown iteration and another pair that's decked out in a dark brown/burgundy blend. Both are equipped with a light grey lining and color-blocked ABZORB midsoles.
Look for the New Balance x Horween Leather collab to drop soon at select retailers, like Philly's Ubiq.
