The Fightball era is officially upon us.

Last Wednesday, the next big thing in sports entertainment known as Fightball held its inaugural event at New York City's SIR Studios in Hell's Kitchen. For those of you that need a refresher, Fightball is basically a new twist on the classic game of 1-on-1 that pits the best streetballers and non-NBA players in the world against each other for cash prizes. The single-elimination tournament is made up of eight-minute games which are played on a 40-foot court with an eight second shot clock promising a frenetic style of play. With a packed house and DJ Clark Kent spinning tracks, the inaugural event lived up to the hype, as the Bronx's Mike "Get2It" Tuitt defeated William "Beast" Mcfarlan in a dramatic final to take home the first ever Fightball prize: a check for $10,000.

We here at Sneaker Report were lucky enough to get an exclusive look into the inaugural event. Watch the video above to see Fightball in action and keep coming back to Sneaker Report as the sport continues to grow.
