An Amsterdam-based photographer took some of your favorite sneakers and turned them into incredible pieces of art.

Joost van Brug captured top-view shots of sneakers being spun on a pottery wheel, resulting in amazing photographs that showcase the sneakers as concentric discs. The blur of the vibrant colors and the motion of the sneakers, which includes styles like the Air Yeezy I and II and "South Beach" 8s, were caught using the long exposure technique in photography.

"My brother is a sneaker collector. I wear sneakers all the time, but I’m not a collector. I don’t get why anyone would buy the same shoes in 10 different colors," the photographer told Co.Design. "That’s why I wanted to explore how much color is a factor when it comes to sneaker collecting, but in an abstract way."
