It's been known that the Nike Flyknit Lunar 3 would release this spring since the sneaker was first revealed back in October. And while the "Multicolor" iteration for women quickly won over 'heads, there was still little information surrounding the technical specs of the brand new performance runner. With the sneaker set to launch this Thursday, we finally get a closer look at the latest chapter in Flyknit.

As its name suggests, this is the third iteration of Nike's Flyknit Lunar series. Core features, including a knitted upper and Lunarlon midsole are still intact, but Nike did go back to the lab to refine some of these key elements.

The Flyknit upper is constructed with a tighter weave that actually has a loosens up toward the forefoot for increased breathability and movement. The overall silhouette provides a more lock-down fit across your foot and even the tongue has been updated to stay in place. The highlight of the sneaker is its cushioning technology, which is anchored by Lunarlon and features a pressure map on the outsole to promote a more natural and responsive stride. So, in other words, one of Nike's Flyknit sneakers just got better.

The sneaker releases in an exclusive "Volt" colorway for men this Thursday on Nike Store. A bigger release with additional colorways is scheduled for March 5.
