Earlier this month Converse rolled out its latest campaign to celebrate the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker — and the fans of the brand who have been expressing themselves in the legendary kicks.

Converse’s ‘Made By You’ campaign spotlights the iconic shoe that was named after basketball player-turned-shoe-salesmen, Chuck Taylor. A series of posters featuring beat up Chuck Taylors worn by the likes of Patti Smith, Andy Warhol, Futura, Jefferson Hack, Sayo Yoshida, Kate Lanphear and Glenn O’Brien will be featured alongside posters of beat up Chuck Taylors worn by everyday Converse wearers. The ‘Made by You’ posters will be plastered across the globe creating an art gallery-like feel in the streets of Toronto, New York City, London, Beijing, Shanghai, São Paulo and Mexico City.

"Fans of Chuck Taylor are the ones who have made Chuck Taylor an iconic badge of creative self-expression. It's time we celebrated them," says Ian Stewart, Vice President of Global Marketing at Converse.
