When it comes to rappers, it's tough to top Wale's dedication to the footwear game. Since his days of posting on NikeTalk and working at sneaker stores, he's had an organic audience within the sneaker community and it's been reflected in his lyrics. From his early mixtapes to studio albums, Wale's littered his lyrics with mentions of everything from Jordans to Foamposites and limited-edition Nike SB Dunks. And his latest album, The Album About Nothing, continues that legacy.

From the album's artwork, which includes Jerry Seinfeld and Wale from the feet up, there's a heavy sneaker presence on a handful of the tracks. There's enough of a reason to check out the work for the music alone, but the relatable content to all sneakerheads is just an added to bonus. To get a bar for bar breakdown, check out Every Sneaker Reference on Wale's The Album About Nothing.
