When it comes to sneakers that have evolved into Americana icons, Converse is at the head of the pack. Everyone knows the Chuck Taylor All-Star, but there's another Converse sneaker with a rich heritage, the Jack Purcell.

For 2015, Converse is updating the '70s style with new materials and tech. Known as the Jack Purcell Signature Leather, this collection includes updates like an Ortholite footbed, Zoom Air cushioning, and an open weave forefoot which combine to make the sneaker much more comfortable than the O.G.s. But the real highlight here is the buttery leather construction, which is designed to be soft and comfortable straight out of the box.

Available in black, white, and brown colorways, the Converse Jack Purcell Signature Leather pack hits Converse retailers and Nordstrom this month with a retail of $140 each.
