It's been yet another banner year for Nike, and CEO Mark Parker's 14th year at the helm has proved to be equally fruitful. So far this year, Parker has welcomed President Barack Obama to the Nike campus, stunted hard on Obama at said meeting, and, of course, played a role in the brand's biggest sneaker of 2015. But that's not all — he also topped a CEO approval rating list for the first time ever.

Employee-sourced job review site Glassdoor has just launched its third-annual Highest Rated CEOs list. The concept is simple: CEOs of U.S. companies with 1,000 or more employees are ranked based upon their approval ratings. With a whopping 97 percent of Nike employees giving him a positive rating, he's actually tied with first place Larry Page, CEO of Google, but Glassdoor bumps him down a spot to no. 2 for unknown reasons.

The most surprising discovery here is that this is actually Parker's very first appearance on the Top 50 list. We can't pinpoint exactly what he did to make such a huge turnaround in a year's time, but whatever it was, it looks like it's working – despite what Kanye West thinks.
