They say numbers never lie, and Campless, a website based on finding the aftermarket value of sneakers, has been a knowledgeable source for those who want to know the resale value on a pair of the latest Air Jordans and more since 2012. Things are looking up for the site, started by former IBM employee Josh Luber, as it's just received an investment from Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.

Tech Crunch is reporting that Gilbert's Detroit Venture Partners, where he's the Managing Partner, has invested in Campless and the site has opened an office in downtown Detroit.

“With Campless, Josh has created a unique methodology and vision for using data to create products, communities and businesses. This presents unlimited possibilities, not only within the sneaker industry, but any business aware of the powerful role data plays in their industry,” Gilbert said in a press release.

Campless has become known for providing data that uses numbers based off of past eBay auctions for everything from Air Jordan 1s to Ronnie Fieg x ASICS to a collaboration that just released. We've even worked with the site in the past to get numbers.

This move, needless to say, isn't surprising for those who have been paying attention, but it's a major maneuver nonetheless.
