Two decades is a long time in the world of sneakers, yet somehow, retro silhouettes like the Air Max 95 still manage to look just as fresh and innovative as the day they dropped. As the runner continues its 20th anniversary push, Nike will test its long-lasting appeal by turning the anatomical design into a rugged winter Sneakerboot.

The Air Max 95 Sneakerboot is set to launch in two monotone colorways: olive and black. Perfect for the chilly months ahead, these boots leave the 95's upper mostly untouched with the addition of a zippered neoprene bootie and an overall higher profile. The modifications are evident, yet subtle enough that even the staunchest of purists should be able to get behind these.

As much as we'd like to, stomping around in winter weather in a standard pair of Air Maxes isn't exactly ideal. If you want that classic look with the added functionality of a boot, look for these on October 1 from select European stockists and keep an eye out for an eventual stateside release.
