Thursday night Josh Donaldson became the second Blue Jay to be named the American League’s top player.  Donaldson joins 1987 winner George Bell as the only Blue Jays players to be name AL MVP.

The 29-year-old third baseman hit .297 with a league-best 123 runs batted in to help the Toronto Blue Jays to their first AL East title – and first playoff appearance – since 1993.

With Donaldson winning the American League MVP award last night, Nike hand delivered a custom pair of cleats to him in congratulations. Donaldson loves his custom cleats like the rest of us and this pair was a customized version of the Huarache 2K Filth, a shoe that Donaldson has worn since the All-Star game.

Of course, the colourway takes inspiration from the MVP award and his impressive stats are engraved on the shoe.
