With the 2015 NYC Marathon in the books, Nike's giving a huge push to one of its oldest marathon sneakers, the Internationalist.Â
Joining the previously featured "Royal" Internationalist Mids are — you guessed it — "Bred" and "Shadow"-esque looks for the vintage runner. While the inspiration is unofficial, it's a rather blatant homage, and there shouldn't be any question as to where these striking colorways were lifted from. All three makeups are currently available in store and via phone order from Premier for $100 each.
But that's not all. Along with their Mid counterparts are a new pair of standard low-cut Internationalists in an unmistakable "Chicago" colorway. This style is currently up for pre-order from Kix-Files for $89, so now's your chance if you're hoping to lock down all four pairs.
The Internationalist model was first introduced at the 1982 NYC marathon and worn by eventual three-time consecutive winner Alberto Salazar. Jumping to present day, it's one of the most underrated retros in the Nike cache, but that could all change with these new Jordan-inspired styles. Scroll down for a full look.
