The University of Oregon Ducks, thanks to being Nike co-founder Phil Knight's alma mater, have received plenty of exclusive sneakers over the years, but their latest might be one of the best to date. The school's football team was just laced with a pair of Air Jordan XIVs that come complete with embossed Puddles the Duck faces—the team's mascot—across the upper.
The team is set to play TCU on January 2 in the Alamo Bowl, and it appears that the sneakers were made for this occasion. This wouldn't be the first time the Ducks got a special pair of Jordans for a bowl game: They received a Player Exclusive edition of Air Jordan IXs for the 2011 BCS National Championship game against Cam Newton and Auburn.
According to the Twitter post by the football team's equipment account, however, Tinker Hatfield, another Nike executive with Oregon roots, is the one to thank for these sneakers. It's unlikely that these shoes will be available to the public.
