It's the end of an era at DC Shoes, as The Ride Channel reports that the brand has dropped Rob Dyrdek.

Although Dyrdek's name might not hold much clout with the average sneakerhead, his tenure with DC Shoes was nothing short of legendary, producing 29 different signature shoes since 1995. In fact, Dyrdek's signature shoe was only the brand's third pro model following sneakers for the likes of Danny Way and Colin McKay. As you know, Dyrdek would later go on to become something of a household name through his work in reality television, continuing to hold the brand down on a global platform.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and DC's parent company, Quiksilver, declined to renew Dyrdek's contract last week after filing for bankruptcy late last year. The Ride Channel points out that Dyrdek's been wiped from the DC Shoes Team page, which is obviously not a good sign for anyone who was holding onto hope for a contract renewal. We'll let you know where Dyrdek lands and what's next for DC.
