Anybody who's worked in the restaurant industry knows that it's not the best work environment to wear your regular sneakers, but Vans has decided to partner with two renowned Los Angeles chefs on a pack that is perfect for the kitchen. The Vans "Kitchen Shoe Program" gives restaurant industry professionals the freedom to wear their favorite Vans models without the fear of spilling on them, or causing pain on your feet from standing all day.

Vans called on restaurant owners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo to help create kitchen-proof Vans Authentic, Classic Slip-On, Old Skool, and Sk8-Hi Reissue models. The restaurant-worthy upgrades include coated water-and-dirt-resistant materials on the uppers and foot beds with enhanced cushioning. Additionally, Vans let them apply the same creativity they use in the kitchen on the colorways, inspired by their two restaurants, Jon & Vinny’s and Son of a Gun. Thanks to Vans, restaurant professionals will have more options for work sneakers in the future.

Staff members at Jon & Vinny’s and Son of a Gun will get first access to these, but no general release date has been announed yet.
