It's not often you see NBA players taking the floor in high-end sneakers, but sneaker free agent John Wall was just about to do that this evening.

Wall was set to play in the NBA All-Star Game in the first tech-focused sneaker by high-end footwear brand Buscemi. Unfortunately, that's the only action they'll be seeing tonight. It's rumored that the sneaker could not be worn in the game because of its hardware.

Buscemi's first entry into the competitive world of athletic footwear is defined by premium leather upper and its aforementioned details, which features the brand's signature gold plated lock along with a new locking mechanism found on the shoe's ankle strap. Another prominent detail is the extended heel handle seen previously on the brand's 100mm and 125mm models.

Here's to what could have been.
