Resellers are making a killing on the Air Jordan XII "Wings," but Nike has just announced that it's doing something unexpected with its profits from the sneaker.

The brand will donate 100 percent of proceeds from the shoe to the WINGS initiative, which works with teachers, mentors, and communities to instill strong education values in the youth.

"The WINGS program continues to focus on education and empowering kids around the world. The funds raised by the sale of the AJ XII 'WINGS' will allow us to continue this mission and fund programs that encourage kids to reach their greatness," Jordan Brand President Larry Miller said.

Both the sneakers and the program get their name from a famous Michael Jordan poster which is pictured below. Ever since the sneakers were announced, there has been talk that proceeds would benefit the foundation, but this is the first official word from Nike.
