After making headlines for all the wrong reasons in February following his anti-gay remarks and subsequent Nike termination, boxer Manny Pacquiao is still finding ways to stir up controversy. Today, Pacquiao's trainer said he "would guarantee" that the boxer will still wear Nike shoes in his next fight despite the fallout.

"That's what he's used to and that's what he likes... Why wear something you’re not comfortable with?," trainer Freddie Roach told PhilStar

Since Pacquiao's sponsorship with the Swoosh ended in February, he's been spotted in Under Armour sneakers and apparel on a number of occasions. While Under Armour was quick to shoot down rumors that it was in talks with the star, Roach claims that the brand recently sent him 22 pairs of shoes. However, it's possible that the shoe shipment had nothing to do with Pacquiao since the trainer has many other high-profile clients.

While Pacquiao's sponsorship future remains to be determined, it sounds like not much is going to change in the ring. He'll face off against long-time rival Timothy Bradley on April 9 from the MGM Grand.
