It looks like the Nike Tennis Classic Ultra Flyknit may have dropped at some retailers prematurely, because the brand has just officially unveiled the sneaker and its release info.

Here, the seminal Tennis Classic from 1973 gets a contemporary upgrade with a nearly full Flyknit upper. 43 long years after the sneaker was made famous by players like John McEnroe, it's coming back more comfortable than ever thanks to the knitted construction, a flexible ultra midsole, and a cork sockliner.

We should also mention that the men's and women's versions of the Tennis Classic Ultra Flyknit are a bit different. The men's pair (pictured in royal blue) makes use of a marled Flyknit pattern with zigzag Flywire reminiscent of the discontinued Flyknit Trainer. On the other hand, the women's pair uses a combination that's closer to the Flyknit Racer with a colorway that recalls 2013's "Midnight Fog" Flyknit Chukka.

Both pairs are dropping next week on May 1 from nike.com and select Nike retailers.
