Last week Converse dropped the Chuck Taylor All Star II Boot, part of their much-hyped 'Counter Climate' collection. The premium all-weather sneakerboot was specifically crafted to help keep feet warm and dry throughout harsh winter conditions (hello Canada) while maintaining that classic Chuck Taylor look and feel we all love.

Building on the silhouette and the notable technological advancements of the Chuck II, the new sneakerboot boasts a waterproof bootie, neoprene collar and heel pull, mesh-backed waterproof leather, and water-repellent canvas. It also features Nike's much-loved Lunarlon cushioning and a rugged weatherized gum outsole with deep grooves.

To celebrate the release of the brand's first waterproof sneaker, Converse teamed up with emerging Winnipeg-based hip hop group The Lytics for a dope promo video featuring their track 'Legendary' (watch above). Of course, 'Legendary' was produced last year at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, N.Y., with a little help from Mike D from the Beastie Boys.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Boot retails for about $140 CAD, and will make its debut in black, egret,  dark chocolate and antique sepia at Foot Locker, SportChek and Little Burgundy stores across Canada.
