OVO Trunner LX Released at Jordan Brand Store in Toronto

The exclusive kicks were made available to Toronto customers this week.

It took very little time for Canada’s first Jordan Brand store to deliver on its insane amount of hype. The Toronto hotspot, which opened to much fanfare this past Saturday, dropped some serious heat for its first batch of visiting customers this weekend. After barely any notice, the Jordan Brand store officially released the OVO Trunner LX out of nowhere, which promptly activated salivary glands of resellers everywhere.

It’s a slick rebrand of the classic shoe which comes outfitted with a two-tone colourway of black and white. Of course, since it is an OVO sneaker, the sneaker is armed with owl logos and gold tinges that are surely Drake approved. Given that it’s an athletic shoe, the Trunner LX comes equipped with an easy slip-on pull tab and adjustable strap. The shoe is a nice aesthetic upgrade for the classic Jordan silhouette and makes the whole thing incredibly fresh.

Unfortunately for Drake stans worldwide, the drop is currently being billed as a Toronto exclusive and there has yet to be any information regarding a wide release. So, we can only hope that the product is made available online in the near future. You may recall Drake teasing the OVO Trunner on his Instagram before his epic performance of “Gyalchester” at the Billboard Music Awards last week. If his winning streak is any indication, we expect the comfy sneakers to be a highly coveted item this summer.

With the release of the OVO Trunners, it seems like everything early 2000s is once again back in fashion. If that’s the case, we hope you’ve held onto your Game Boy Advance cartridges, weird visors, and all of those neon shirts that look like they came out of a laser tag match. In the meantime, you can safely embrace the trend if you happened to cop the OVO Trunner LX.
