The Golf Cabriolet, better known as the Cabrio, hasn't been sold since 2003. But in its ten-year production run, the cutesy-convertible was a favorite among fresh-faced young coeds from coast to coast. Now all that goodness might be coming back to a campus near you.
Volkswagen has announced that in addition the the hard-top Eos, a fabric-roofed Cabrio based on the current Golf/Rabbit platform will once again go on sale. Pricing is not yet available, but will no doubt come in cheaper than its rigid big bro and, according to VW, the soft-top takes up less space when retracted and operates quicker than the Eos.
More news should be available after its debut in Geneva.
