Tiki Barber's road to redemption just hit a major pothole. In the new issue of Sports Illustrated, the former New York Giant tries to open up about his life today by talking about the end of his marriage to his wife and his subsequent relationship with a 23-year-old former intern at NBC. And he does a decent job of it until he talks about the way that he and his new chick tried to avoid media scrutiny at the beginning of their relationship—by moving into the attic of his agent Mark Lepselter. You ready for this explanation? Okay...

"Lep's Jewish," Barber told SI's L. Jon Wertheim, "and it was like a reverse Anne Frank thing."

Riiiiiiiiiight. Because Anne Frank trying to hide from the Nazis was exactly like you trying to hide from the paps. Get this guy outta here. [via New York Post]
