GM Blames "Old GM" For Impala Defect

The new company says they're not responsible for the faulty rear spindle rods.

None

There has been an epidemic of 2007-2008 Impalas blowing out their rear tires after as few as 6,000 miles. Several owners of the civilian Impala have complained about the same faulty rear spindle rods that GM fixed in the police Impalas. GM is saying that the civilian version is "inherently different" from the police version, and that, here's the kicker, that they are not responsible for defects caused by "old GM." That's right, pre bankruptcy GM is off the hook, even though it's the same people running essentially the same company under the same name. Sleaze balls. Donna Trusky, we wish you luck in your lawsuit.
