Yesterday, the Boston Globeblew the doors off the Boston Red Sox clubhouse when they revealed that Sox pitchers Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, and John Lackey reportedly spent their time during the team's epic September collapse drinking beer, eating fried chicken, and playing video games during games. That story is now causing a shitstorm in other parts of the country with reporters attempting to find out what goes on behind closed doors in Major League Baseball clubhouses during games.

One of the more interesting investigations took place yesterday when Dan Patrick got current MLB Network analyst and former Mets pitcher Al Leiter to come on The Dan Patrick Show to discuss the existence of a rumored "porn room" inside the clubhouse at Shea Stadium back in the late 1990s. And while Leiter didn't confirm that a "porn room" did exist, he also didn't deny it very hard and fumbled his way through the next minute of the interview so badly that it makes us think that the "porn room" did exist.

Not for nothing, but the Mets might want to consider putting a "porn room" into Citi Field. It certainly wouldn't be politically correct, as Leiter points out, but at least they were winning back when it allegedly existed, right? [via Sports Grid]
