Apparently, Derrick Rose is the first player to learn from the recent injury that J.R. Smith suffered while playing in China. Because over the weekend, he announced that he will not be playing ball overseas during the NBA lockout

"I'm not going anywhere," he told the Houston Chronicle. "I'm good. I'm just trying to stay in a nice place where you never know what will happen, or what can happen, what will happen. Now, I'm trying to keep myself in nice shape, and stay positive. Hopefully, we'll have a season."

Hopefully. But, for now, Chicago Bulls fan can rest assured that D-Rose won't be suffering any injuries during the lockout. And in light of what happened to Smith, we think Rose's decision is probably for the best.
