Last week, NBA playersmissed their first paychecks of the season. But, as it turns out, they aren't the only ones hurting right now because of the NBA lockout. Restaurants, hotels, bars, nightclubs, and other establishments are losing plenty of paper, too. In fact, a man who runs an escort service in New York City told CNBC's Darren Rovell recently that even his line of work is struggling right now because of the lockout. The reason? NBA players who usually pay anywhere from $400 to $4000 for a night out with one of his escorts aren't booking girls like they usually do. As a result, business is down 30 percent.

"There are replacements," he said, "but they aren't as consistent and not nearly as high paying."

Hey, it's hard out here for a pimp escort business owner. And we can think of at least ten NBA players who haven't had a date in months. Can't you do something to help, David Stern?
