It's a problem that has embarrassed no-so-handy guys for decades. You're on a hot date, you've already had a great dinner with your girl, and the ride back to her place is going great, then pop! Flat tire. When she sees that her suitor can't even change his own tire, the door is the only thing you'll be kissing. Bridgestone is working to fix that with its new eco-friendly air-free tire concept.
The 100 percent recyclable tire is made of thermoplastic resin and features dozens of tiny, flexible spokes that provide the support. At the moment the tire only holds up 330 pounds and has no sidewalls, but it IS just a concept made to show progressing technology. This is definitely a step forward.
