Back when we were in school, there were a few pretty straightforward ways to earn yourself a suspension. You could get into a fight. You could talk back repeatedly to your teachers. Or, you could get caught puffing away at a Marlboro Red out back during your lunch period. Any of those things would have gotten you an unplanned vacation from school.

Haircuts never really came into the equation. Sure, you could probably shave the F-word into your scalp and earn a suspension. But, no one was actually stupid enough to do something like that. So, haircuts weren't really a big problem. Times sure have changed, though.

Recently, Woodlake Hills Middle School in San Antonio, TX threatened to suspend a student named Patrick Gonzalez because he—get this—had a picture of San Antonio Spurs sharpshooter Matt Bonner shaved into the back of his head. That's right. And, despite the fact that his mother was under the impression that the school had approved the haircut, the school has reportedly told him that he needs to either cut the picture of Bonner off—or risk being suspended.

Not for nothing, guys, but don't you think this kid has suffered enough already? At this point, it almost seems like making him keep the haircut would be the proper punishment. And, hey: At least he's not walking around with Matt Bonner shaved into the back of his head and a Marlboro Red hanging out of his mouth, right!? So, let Bonner's biggest fan be.
