Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have designed a headlight that makes rain almost unnoticeable. The problem with regular headlights is that they illuminate the rain, thus causing the raindrops to light up like little LEDs. This new headlight computes the trajectory of the raindrop and simply lights around them.
The system reduces the visibility of rain by 70% while only emitting 2% less light.
