Roger Clemens isn't hanging up his uniform for good just yet. Today, Clemens took the mound after signing with the independent South Atlantic League's Sugar Land Skeeters. Even though the 50-year-old pitcher did show his age with a fastball topping out at 87 MPH, Tal Smith, a special advisor for the Sugar Land Skeeters and ironically, former president of the Astros, said that Clemens "had great command of all his pitches."

In addition to Clemens pitching in front of Mr. Smith, the Houston Astros’ scouting director was also in attendance, according to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal. The Astros may be taking a closer look at the possibility of adding Roger to their roster after seeing how he fares in his first scheduled start for the Skeeters on Saturday. If all goes well, Rocket could be calling Minute Maid Park his temporary home for the remainder of the 2012 season.

Given his controversial past, is the MLB ready for Roger's possible return?
