Because if it worked for Noah, it should work for him.

Like everyone else with an internet connection, Lu Zhenghai of the Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region of China has heard a lot about the impending Mayan apocalypse, but unlike most of us, he is taking real measures to guarantee his survival. In preparation for the end of the world on December 21, 2012, Lu has spent his life's savings, about $12,127, building a boat measuring about 70' long, 50' wide, and 18' high. Pictured in the thumbs above, the ship, Lu is confident, will weather whatever storm is caused by the end of the world.
