Remember how bad the last NBA Slam Dunk Contest was? Need a reminder? It's no secret that something or someone is needed to jolt life back into the competition.

With the chances of David Sterncoughing up $1 million to get LeBron James in the competition looking mighty slim, we may have some good news for you. Out of seemingly nowhere, Russell Westbrook said that he would like to participate in the contest "before it's too late." When asked whether that would be this season, he simply stated that it's "up in the air."

Maybe he needs some time to master the "picking up the glasses off the rim and placing them on the face" dunk. We can wait.
