The First 2014 Corvette Stingray Will be Auctioned For Charity This Weekend

Along with three other performance Chevys.

The seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was finally launched this weekend. Now everybody and their Grandma's third cousin wants to know just when the hell you can buy one. The official answer would be not until the third quarter of this year, which is the usual time that the next year's models start to release. However, in a special fundraiser/charity event for the Detroit’s College for Creative Studies, the 2014 Corvette with VIN 0001 will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson this weekend, along with three other rare performance Chevys (for other charities).

The other three cars are General Motors’ CEO Dan Akerson’s 1958 Corvette, The last 2012 COPO Camaro (only one of two convertibles and the only one in Inferno Orange Metallic), and Guy Fieri’s 505hp personalized 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition. So, who's going to be submitting auctions online this weekend
