Every year at the Detroit auto show, a gaggle of automotive journalists kick the event off by voting on the North American Car and Truck of the Year. This year the car finalists were:
- Cadillac ATS
- Ford Fusion
- Honda Accord
The truck choices were, of course, mostly things that aren't even remotely trucks, as usual:
- Ford C-Max
- Mazda CX-5
- Ram 1500
The winners were the Cadillac ATS, which is really bringing the fight to BMW in a way that Cadillac has never managed before, and the extremely innovative new Ram 1500, which is the only thing that is actually a truck on the list.
