Four University of Alabama football players were arrested on Monday on robbery and fraudulent use of a credit card charges.

According to a police report, wide receiver Eddie Williams, defensive end D.J. Pettway, linebacker Tyler Hayes, and linebacker Brent Calloway were all arrested after Williams allegedly beat up a man on the Alabama campus, stole his credit card, fled the scene with the other three men, and then used the stolen credit card at a vending machine. Police say that Williams—who was also arrested on Sunday on an unrelated gun charge—admitted to his role in the robbery and was hit with second-degree robbery and fraudulent use of a credit card charges. Additionally, Pettway and Hayes, who both knew that Williams intended to rob the victim, were also hit with second-degree robbery charges. And, Calloway was handed a fraudulent use of a credit card charge. Oh, and to make matters even worse, that robbery that we just described came on the heels of another robbery that allegedly took place earlier in the day as well involving the same players. They were all locked up on Monday night before being released on bail, and their head coach Nick Saban obviously wasn't happy with the news of their arrests.

"The young men charged are indefinitely suspended as we continue to gather information and talk to the appropriate people," he said in a statement released by the school. "This behavior is unacceptable for any student-athlete at the University of Alabama."

The school released a statement as well. "We are very disappointed in the actions that have resulted in the charges against these student-athletes," the statement said. "In this type of situation, the athletics department works in conjunction with the university. We will have more to say at the appropriate time."

Does that mean all four of the players—or, at least, one or two of the four players—could be kicked off the team for their behavior? You betcha. We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
