Somewhere out there, David Stern just let out a HUGE sigh of relief. Towards the end of the Pacers/Warriors game earlier tonight, Roy Hibbert and David Lee got tangled up under the basket and started pushing one another. That pushing led to some shoving amongst their teammates. And, within just a few seconds, things got really heated and a big fight almost broke out. Fortunately, the referees and coaches from both teams were able to get in the middle of the ensuing scrum and cool things off before the gigantic shoving match escalated into something more serious. But, it was thisclose to being a really, really bad situation for the entire NBA.

As a result of what happened, Hibbert got thrown out of the game for his role in it, and Lee, David West, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson all received technical fouls. But, you can expect more fines and suspensions to be handed out in the near future. We're just glad this didn't go any further than it did.

UPDATE: Here's another video of the brawl that shows some different angles and features commentary from Ernie Johnson & Co. Crazy!
