The 2013 WNBA Draft was held on Monday night. And, with the first pick in the draft, the Phoenix Mercury selected—drummmmmmmroll, please!—Brittney Griner. Okay, okay, so you probably knew she was going to be selected first overall this year, like, three years ago. But it was still nice to see her finally make it official.

"It's a dream come true," she said. "I'm like a little kid in Disney World the first time meeting all the characters. Sitting at the table they said 15 seconds and my heart started beating so fast. I was grabbing the tablecloth underneath."

The second and third picks weren't surprising, either. At No. 2, the Chicago Sky added Elena Delle Donne. And, at No. 3, the Tulsa Shock selected Skylar Diggins. For a complete rundown of all the picks made in the draft, head over here. Congrats to all of the young ladies who had their WNBA dreams come true last night.
