Chael Sonnen talked trash for a longer period of time outside of the Octagon than he lasted inside the Octagon against Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 159. With only 27 seconds left in the first round, the match was called after Jones continuously landed elbow after elbow and followed it up with a barrage of punches as Sonnen attempted to defend himself. Operative word being "attempted."
Following the fight, both guys had their fair share of battle wounds from the brief match. Sonnen had a battered nose while Jones suffered a broken toe that he only noticed after the fight had concluded. Even with the toe headed in the other direction, Bones continued playing it cool, but as he pointed out, it was going to hurt once the adrenaline wore off.
