Rich people: they're not good at waiting. The C7 Corvette hasn't even hit showroom floors yet, but Rick Hendrick, the owner of NASCAR team Hendrick Motorsports, just bought the first drop top for $1,000,000 at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach, FL. He'll get to chose all of his options and take the first C7 convertible to roll off the line.

The proceeds are going to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
