Toyota Recalls 240,000 Hybrids

Toyota announced yesterday that the company is recalling nearly a quarter-million Prius and Lexus HS 250h hybrids manufactured between March and Oct. 2009. The largest car company in the world received more than 90 complaints from customers about faulty breaks that needed to be pressed unusually hard. Toyota found the culprit, a flaw causing nitrogen gas to leak into the break fluid. Most of the affected cars come from Japan, 117,000 to be exact. Another 91,000 vehicles are in North America. 

It's good to see Toyota make this move without having to be told by the government. There's another car company who should follow suit ...
