FC Barcelona is without a manager right now.

Tito Vilanova—who has managed Barca since April 2012—announced he was stepping down from his position earlier today in order to focus on fighting a recurrence of throat cancer. Although he missed large stretches of last season while fighting the cancer in New York, Vilanova was expected to return to the sidelines for Barcelona next season. He even underwent a new "pioneering treatment" in May to try and get rid of the cancer. But the 44-year-old manager just found out that the cancer is back, and that he is in for more treatment in the near future.

We wish him nothing but the best as he continues to fight the good fight in an attempt to beat cancer once and for all. Barcelona is expected to announce his replacement sometime next week.
